Mick Martin is an award winning writer and theatre director. He works in theatre primarily, but has extensive experience in TV and radio. His work has been commissioned and produced by mainstream theatres throughout the UK and abroad, is wide ranging and explores northern working class stories, characters and themes. It ranges from social and political history to contemporary popular culture. He has worked in radio and television and delivered workshops and creative writing and performing far and wide. and takes the form of touring plays or site specific shows. A review in The Observer once described him as ‘Nick Hornby meets George Orwell, but with a plus.’ It didn’t say what the plus was, but he’ll take it anyway.
